The MB - 550 has an outside jaw spread of 5 1/2" and an inside jaw spread of 4 3/4". Cast jaw face is 3/8" thick and the offset traps have an offset of 3/16". They also have incorporated Paws-I-Trip pan system, night latch dog, and pan tension out of the box is 2.1 lbs. Great canine, and cat trap.
